Pyrotek is seeking a motivated and curious Sales Applications & AI Analyst Intern to join our Sales Applications team at our downtown Spokane office for Summer 2027!

This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of sales, technology, analytics, and innovation. You'll help explore how artificial intelligence can enhance sales processes, evaluate existing sales applications, gather feedback from users, and identify opportunities to improve the tools and technology that support our Sales Engineers.

You'll gain hands-on experience with business applications, AI-enabled tools, data analysis, software testing, and project development while collaborating with team members and stakeholders across the organization.

What You'll Work On

This is more than an observational internship! You'll contribute to meaningful projects and help shape recommendations for the future of Pyrotek's sales technology.

Artificial Intelligence & Innovation

• Research emerging AI capabilities, including Microsoft 365 Copilot, Dynamics 365 Sales, AI agents, and other relevant technologies.
• Explore opportunities to use AI to improve sales activities such as customer preparation, prospect discovery, qualification, documentation, coaching, pricing, and customer growth.
• Help identify practical AI applications, potential benefits, implementation considerations, and responsible adoption practices.
• Develop and test AI prompts and contribute to an organized Copilot prompt library.

Sales Technology & Application Experience

• Evaluate existing sales applications to understand how effectively they support Sales Engineers and their day-to-day workflows.
• Test application usability, navigation, functionality, and information accessibility.
• Gather feedback from Sales Engineers and managers to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Research and compare technology capabilities and features available in the marketplace.

Business Analytics & Project Support

• Analyze user feedback, application testing results, survey responses, and available usage data.
• Identify trends, gaps, and opportunities to improve sales tools and processes.
• Prepare project documentation, research summaries, test scenarios, and recommendations.
• Track project milestones, communicate progress, and collaborate with stakeholders.

Present Your Recommendations

• Help develop practical recommendations for improving sales applications and advancing AI capabilities within Sales.
• Prepare and deliver a final presentation highlighting your research, findings, and recommendations.
• Contribute to a phased roadmap outlining opportunities for future sales technology improvements.

What You'll Bring

• High school diploma and current enrollment in a college or university program pursuing a degree in Business, Sales, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Communications, or a related field.
• At least one year of completed college coursework in your area of study.
• Strong curiosity about artificial intelligence, emerging technology, and business applications.
• Excellent research, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document findings and present recommendations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative team.
• Willingness to learn unfamiliar systems, ask questions, and seek feedback.

Additional Experience We'd Love to See:

• Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot or other generative AI tools.
• Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales or another CRM platform.
• Experience with Excel, Power BI, survey tools, or software testing.
• Previous experience with research, business applications, or project-based coursework.
