Position Title: Health & Safety Specialist
Wage: Based on Experience Accelerate Professional Talent Solutions is seeking an experienced EHS Specialist to join a manufacturing facility in Marshfield, Missouri. Under the general direction of the Health & Safety Manager and Environmental Manager, the EHS Specialist will help maintain compliance with federal and state environmental, health, and safety regulations, as well as corporate programs, facility-specific procedures, and work instructions. This position will play an important role in promoting a safe work environment, supporting safety and environmental initiatives, conducting inspections and audits, providing employee training, and assisting with continuous improvement efforts throughout the facility. Health & Safety Specialist Responsibilities: - Maintain daily, weekly, monthly, and annual inspection forms and documentation to ensure accuracy, compliance, and proper retention - Conduct and participate in site investigations, internal audits, and compliance activities related to environmental, health, and safety regulations - Maintain EHS data and records using software systems such as Cority, SharePoint, and other applicable platforms - Develop PowerPoint presentations and conduct safety training for employees, including new-hire safety training - Assist operations personnel with developing Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) instructions, and other safety procedures - Assist the Health & Safety Manager with accident investigations, inspections, audits, report preparation, and corporate communications - Help create and maintain a safe working environment for all employees - Identify opportunities to engage employees in safety, environmental, process improvement, and continuous improvement initiatives - Coordinate safety and regulatory compliance training for contractors and subcontractors - Participate as a member of the facility's emergency response team - Facilitate and participate in safety committees and other safety-related initiatives - Utilize the Cority system to compile and analyze injury data for reports, presentations, and meetings - Attend seminars, training programs, and continuing education opportunities as needed - Work flexible hours, including occasional early mornings or later hours, based on business needs - Complete projects and assignments within established deadlines with limited supervision Requirements for Health & Safety Specialist: - Bachelor's degree in Industrial Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, or a related field preferred - At least two years of health and safety experience or related experience; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered - Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation - Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Ability to build positive relationships and contribute to a strong workplace culture - Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills - Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and other software applications - Ability to effectively train and communicate safety requirements to employees at all levels - Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development - Ability to occasionally work outside of normal business hours as needed IND345 Accelerate Professional Talent Solutions has the resources of a large company but the feel and personalized customer service of a small one.
