Job Description

The Great Plains ADA Center is seeking a Program/Project Support Coordinator II to lead coordination and execution of training, education, and outreach activities, including the National ADA Symposium, ADA Coordinator Training Certification Program conferences, and related initiatives.

This position is responsible for planning and managing complex, large-scale events and training activities, ensuring ADA accessibility compliance, coordinating contracts and vendor relationships, and supporting implementation of grant-funded programming. The Coordinator II plays a central role in delivering nationally recognized programming and ensuring high-quality, accessible experiences for participants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute large-scale national training and outreach events, including the National ADA Symposium and related conferences
  • Support development and delivery of virtual and in-person training programs, including ADA Coordinator Certification Program activities
  • Ensure ADA compliance and accessibility of event locations, materials, communications, and technology platforms
  • Manage logistics for conferences and events, including site selection, accessibility review, space planning, and on-site coordination
  • Coordinate travel, lodging, and accommodations for staff, presenters, and participants
  • Develop and manage relationships with external vendors, venues, presenters, and partners, including contract coordination in collaboration with University offices
  • Work closely with exhibitors and sponsors
  • Troubleshoot complex logistical, technical, and accessibility challenges in real time during events and program delivery
  • Support development, production, and dissemination of program materials, including print, virtual, and accessible formats
  • Coordinate technical infrastructure for events, including assistive technology and virtual platforms
  • Track and support program operations and activities tied to grant-funded initiatives, ensuring alignment with funding requirements
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and ADA Center leadership to support program execution and continuous improvement
  • Provide guidance and coordination support to staff, student workers, or event personnel as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of ADA Center programming
Shift

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience coordinating large-scale conferences or national-level programming
  • Experience with ADA compliance, accessibility standards, or accommodations planning
  • Experience working with external vendors, contracts, and event logistics
  • Experience supporting grant-funded programs or federally funded initiatives
  • Experience with Cvent registration platforms and membership management platforms
Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $22.10 to $31.50 per hour. This is a grant funded position.

Grade: GGS 009
