Advanced 3D microscopic imaging technique development. The Wyant College of Optical Sciences at the University of Arizona is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher under the guidance of Dr. Peng to develop advanced 3D fluorescence imaging techniques for biomedical applications. Candidates with experience in optical science, instrument development and microscopy instrumentation are encouraged to apply. As a Postdoctoral Research Associate, you will work in collaborative projects between optical engineering and bioimaging, design and built microscopy instrument and conduct pilot imaging studies in live tissue and animals. | Duties & Responsibilities |
- Develop and lead an
independent research agenda centered on optical instrument design and development. - Disseminate work
through publications and presentations; contribute to public-engagement opportunities. - Develop and
implement research initiatives, collaborations, publications, and/or events (e.g., talks, workshops) as needed and relevant to research agendas. - Collaborate with
faculty and scholars in support of an inclusive academic environment (including organizing collaborative meetings, supervising/mentoring graduate and undergraduate students).

| Minimum Qualifications |
- Must have a Ph.D. in optical science, physics, electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, or a related field upon hire. ABD candidates who will complete all Ph.D. requirements prior to the start date may be considered.
- Experience in building and
operating imaging instrument. - Demonstrate programing skills in MATLAB

| Preferred Qualifications |
- Experience in data acquisition
- Experience in LabVIEW or C++/C# programing
- Experience in microscopic imaging study.
