Position Overview

The Relationship Manager, Fleet Management serves as the primary client interface for assigned business segments and additional initiatives. This role requires establishing trusted advisor relationships with client counterparts while driving program execution, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and optimizing fleet operations. The successful candidate will manage client relationships, oversee fleet database management, and coordinate cross-functional approvals to deliver exceptional service.


Key Responsibilities

Relationship Management

Lead the client relationship and serve as the primary interface for assigned business segments and additional initiatives. Establish a "Trusted Advisor" relationship with client counterparts as a subject matter expert in fleet management operations. Coordinate work and approvals between internal and external groups to ensure seamless program delivery. Provide regular dashboard or presentation reporting to client and account leadership on project and program performance.

Program Execution and Compliance

Drive adherence to established processes while demonstrating agility and creativity to meet dynamic business needs. Manage the approval process for all assigned projects and escalate risks throughout the organization appropriately. Ensure the fleet department upholds safety requirements from corporate, client, federal, state, and local regulations. Hold safety incidents to the highest priority by removing hazards, diagnosing causes, and implementing short- and long-term preventative measures efficiently.

Fleet Operations Management

Maintain electronic databases of sales, inventory, inspections, and maintenance within fleet management systems, supporting subordinate efforts within JLL and client databases as required. Ensure fleet availability to meet current and future requirements by scheduling, forecasting, and surveying mobile equipment usage trends. Monitor fleet operations to ensure 100% on-time completion of preventative maintenance in alignment with client policies and requirements.

Strategic Planning and Development

Utilize fleet information and user surveys to forecast new requirements and identify reduction opportunities. Perform vehicle registration and insurance formalities and documentation for new vehicle induction into the JLL fleet, providing client assistance as needed. Develop and implement operational standards to maintain mobile equipment by advocating industry best practices. Plan, process, and execute mobile equipment purchases and vehicle replacements in accordance with corporate requirements and procedures.

Compliance and Risk Management

Monitor and ensure fleet operations comply with client policies while providing support and information regarding federal, state, and local requirements. Maintain and monitor data management systems to organize fleets according to various schedules and client requirements. Participate in and facilitate workshops and educational programs while maintaining knowledge of industry-relevant publications and ANSI/OSHA standards.

Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned to support account objectives.


Required Skills and Experience
  • Proven experience in fleet management operations and relationship management
  • Strong understanding of mobile equipment fleet operations and lifecycle management
  • Knowledge of ANSI/OSHA safety standards and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain trusted advisor relationships with senior client stakeholders
  • Experience managing approval processes and coordinating cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in database management and fleet management information systems
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to forecast requirements and identify optimization opportunities
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for client and leadership reporting
  • Proven track record of driving process adherence while maintaining operational agility
  • Experience with safety incident management, root cause analysis, and preventative measures
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and escalate risks appropriately

Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience with Smartsheet or similar project management and collaboration platforms
  • Advanced knowledge of industry best practices for mobile equipment maintenance and operations
  • Experience with vehicle procurement processes and supplier relationship management
  • Background in facilitating workshops or training programs related to fleet operations
  • Familiarity with corporate procurement policies and procedures

Expected compensation for this position:


100,000.00 - 110,000.00 USD per year

Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
