Position Purpose: The primary function of a laborer to organize and maintain the warehouse to keep it safe and satisfactory, in addition to assisting the drivers on premises when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Straps and places corners on each load.
  • Bag and wrap materials depending on weather conditions.
  • Cleaning the garbage
  • Sweeping the warehouse
  • Assisting drivers when needed in the yard.
  • Lifting
  • Bending
  • Organizing

Travel Requirements:

This position requires occasional travel; less than 10%.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain standing 90%.
  • Frequently move materials weighing up to 80 lbs.
  • Must be able to communicate with management and coworkers and be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • Constantly working outside.

Working Conditions:

A combination of indoor and outdoor work; including warehouses, job sites, customer locations, and delivery areas.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid Driver's License
  • Demonstrated knowledge of various board sizes and manufactures, mud types, and steel types
  • Demonstrated knowledge of basic math skills.

Work Location:

On site reporting to a location with a combination of indoor and outdoor work; including warehouses, job sites, customer locations, and delivery areas.

The base salary for this position typically falls within the range of $16.00 to $22.80 per hour. Starting wage may vary based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position being offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. SRS Distribution offers additional competitive and non-financial benefits. Hourly associates may be eligible for overtime based on business needs. Depending on the role, associates may also be eligible for performance-based bonus programs, commissions, car allowance or automobile and fuel program, and reimbursement for travel expenses in accordance with company travel policy.
