Application Window Open date: October 8, 2026 Next review date: Sunday, Nov 8, 2026 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Saturday, Apr 8, 2028 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology Faculty Search The Cardiology Division of the University of California, San Francisco, is seeking a board-certified or eligible faculty candidate in advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology for its growing program. The successful candidate will join a comprehensive, multidisciplinary program that provides the full spectrum of advanced heart failure care, including heart transplantation, temporary and durable mechanical circulatory support (MCS), cardiogenic shock management, and pulmonary hypertension management. Clinical responsibilities include inpatient and outpatient care of advanced heart failure, transplant, and MCS patients; participation in multidisciplinary transplant and MCS patient selection committees; and teaching and mentoring of medical students, residents, and fellows, including trainees in the ACGME-accredited Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology fellowship. Salary and Rank: Appointment rank, series, and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, in accordance with University of California academic salary scales and the UCSF Health Sciences Compensation Plan. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5. The minimum base salary range for this position is $118,800-$358,300.
