Chief Examiner

Chief Examiner: The Town of East Haven is currently seeking qualified applicants to participate in the Civil Service Examination for the position of Chief Examiner. This position, under the general direction of the Civil Service Commission, administers the Town's Civil Service examinations and oversees all aspects of the competitive hiring process for the town. Coordinates recruitment, application review, examination administration, eligibility lists, certification of candidates, Commission support, records management, and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and Town policies. Graduation from high school or equivalent required. Associate's degree preferred. Five (5) years of progressively responsible administrative experience, preferably in Human Resources, Civil Service, municipal government, or a closely related field; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Salary range 33,546.16 - $38,836.20, 19.5 hours per week. This job is not eligible for medical benefits or pension.
