Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Leave and Accommodation Analyst serves as the subject matter expert for employee leave and accommodation programs, partnering closely with employees, managers, HR Business Partners (HRBPs), Payroll, Legal, and third-party vendors to ensure a consistent, compliant, and employee-centered experience.
This role guides employees and leaders through critical life and workplace events, including leaves of absence, disability-related matters, and workplace accommodations. The analyst is responsible for administering leave and accommodation programs, interpreting applicable laws and company policies, managing complex cases, and providing consultative support to the business. The position exercises independent judgment while collaborating closely with HRBPs and business leaders to understand essential job functions, evaluate accommodation options, and support effective return-to-work outcomes.
Key responsibilities:
- Administer employee leave programs, including FMLA, ADA, state leave, military leave, and disability-related leaves.
- Serve as the primary contact for employees, managers, HRBPs regarding leave and accommodation matters.
- Review leave requests, determine eligibility, and maintain accurate case records and documentation.
- Track leave usage, intermittent leave schedules, and return-to-work activities and related case milestones .
- Manage the ADA interactive process and coordinate reasonable accommodations requests from initiation through resolution.
- Partner closely with HRBPs, managers, and business leaders to understand and document essential job functions and operational requirement when evaluating accommodation requests.
- Provide recommendations and guidance regarding leave, disability, and accommodations matters while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
- Partner with HR, Payroll, Legal, managers, and vendors to support leave and accommodation administration.
- Coordinate with third-party administrators, disability carriers, and medical providers, as appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local leave, disability, and accommodation laws and regulations.
- Monitor regulatory changes and recommend updates to policies and procedures.
- Interpret regulations and resolve complex or escalated leave and accommodation cases.
- Prepare reports, maintain documentation, support audits, and identify trends related to leave and accommodation activity.
- Provide training, education, and consultative support to HRBPs, managers and employees on leave, disability, and accommodation processes.
- Exercise independent judgment in administering leave and accommodation programs while collaborating with HRBPs, managers, Legal, and business leaders on operational considerations and accommodation decisions. .
- Deliver a positive employee experience through timely, responsive, and confidential case management.
Requirements and Preferred Skills
Education and Experience:
- 5+ years of experience administering employee leave, disability, accommodation, and employment compliance programs.Experience administering FMLA, ADA, disability, and state leave programs.
- Demonstrated experience independently managing complex accommodation and leave cases.
- Knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance requirements.
- Experience working with third-party leave administrators and disability management programs.
Other Requirements
- Strong knowledge of FMLA, ADA, USERRA, Paid Family and Medical Leave (PFML) programs, and multi-state leave regulations, with demonstrated expertise in Colorado leave laws and related compliance requirements.
- Ability to interpret policies, regulations, and medical documentation.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and HRIS/case management systems; Success Factors and Oracle experience preferred.

Pay & Benefits
- Full-Time
- Salary Range: $95,000 - $105,000
- Not Bonus Eligible
