JOB SUMMARY:

The Lead Program Manager, AI Transformation leads enterprise-wide AI transformation initiatives that advance business objectives, improve operational effectiveness, and deliver measurable value. This senior individual contributor translates enterprise strategy into an integrated transformation roadmap; aligns numerous interdependent workstreams; and applies program management best practices to plan, coordinate, and implement AI-enabled solutions across the organization. Partnering with business, technology, talent, and other functions, the role drives adoption, manages priorities and dependencies, and supports value realization.

JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Lead the enterprise AI transformation program from strategy through implementation, adoption, measurement, and continuous improvement; ensure work is aligned to business priorities, approved investment plans, and enterprise risk requirements.
  2. Develop and maintain an integrated multi-year transformation roadmap, operating plan, workstream charters, milestones, dependency map, resource plan, and benefits realization approach across Technology, Product, Operations, Talent, Security, Legal, Compliance, Finance, and other functions.
  3. Establish and operate program governance, including executive steering forums, workstream cadences, decision rights, escalation paths, risk and issue management, and transparent reporting that enables timely leadership decisions.
  4. Coordinate and influence workstream leaders and matrixed teams to deliver connected outcomes across AI strategy, platform and tooling, data readiness, governance, security, training, change management, use-case delivery, and adoption.
  5. Partner with senior leaders to identify, assess, prioritize, and sequence AI opportunities based on business value, feasibility, data and technology readiness, risk, cost, and organizational capacity.
  6. Define program success measures and maintain executive-ready dashboards that communicate delivery health, adoption, value realization, capabilities, risks, investment, and decisions required.
  7. Drive cross-workstream dependency management; identify and resolve barriers involving data, architecture, infrastructure, vendor agreements, security, privacy, compliance, workforce readiness, and operating-model changes.
  8. Partner with Training, Change Management, and Communications to support role-based enablement, advocate networks, communities of practice, and sustainable adoption of new AI ways of working.
  9. Facilitate workshops and executive forums to clarify strategy, evaluate tradeoffs, align stakeholders, and convert complex or ambiguous issues into actionable decisions and plans.
  10. Manage program budgets, vendor relationships, statements of work, forecasts, and investment tracking; partner with Finance, Procurement, Legal, and Technology leaders to support sound decisions and delivery commitments.
  11. Ensuring AI transformation work incorporates appropriate governance, security, privacy, legal, regulatory, ethical-use, evaluation, observability, and operational readiness practices, including HIPAA requirements where applicable.
  12. Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate across disciplines and departments.
  13. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and requirements.
  14. Demonstrate Company's Core Competencies and values held within.

JOB SCOPE:

The incumbent operates with substantial independence and exercises advanced judgment in leading a highly visible, enterprise-wide transformation program with numerous concurrent workstreams and executive stakeholders. Decisions and recommendations influence enterprise strategy, technology and data investments, operating models, workforce adoption, risk posture, and measurable business outcomes. This is a senior individual contributor role without direct people-management authority; however, the incumbent leads matrixed teams, influences leaders at all levels, directs program work, mentors colleagues, and regularly advises executives. The role manages sensitive information and maintains significant relationships with internal leaders, vendors, and other external stakeholders.

JOB REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience, and Training):

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in business administration, Project or Program Management, Information Technology, Operations, Analytics, Healthcare Administration, or a related field, or high school diploma and 4 years of related experience; graduate degree preferred.

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in program, portfolio, transformation, strategic planning, technology, operations, or related work, including leadership of complex enterprise-wide, cross-functional initiatives.

  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale transformation programs with multiple workstreams, establishing governance and operating cadences, managing executive stakeholders, and delivering measurable business outcomes.

  • Experience leading or supporting AI, digital, data, automation, cloud, or technology-enabled transformation initiatives preferred; familiarity with AI concepts, AI adoption, responsible AI, and the business and operating-model implications of AI strongly preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of program and portfolio management, strategic planning, roadmap development, dependency management, benefits realization, change management, risk management, and executive communications.

  • Experience partnering with Technology, Product, Security, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Talent, and business operations leaders to deliver complex initiatives in a regulated environment; healthcare or managed care experience preferred.

  • Ability to evaluate complex information from multiple sources and translate it into clear recommendations, integrated plans, executive-level decisions, and actionable reporting.

  • Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical, problem-solving, organization, prioritization, facilitation, negotiation, presentation, and written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to lead through influence without direct authority, manage competing priorities and ambiguity, exercise discretion with sensitive information, and make sound decisions using incomplete data.

  • Proficiency with program and project management, collaboration, reporting, analytics, and Microsoft Office tools used to perform job responsibilities.

  • PMP, PgMP, Prosci, Lean Six Sigma, SAFe, or other relevant certification preferred; required licensures, professional certifications, and/or Board certifications as applicable.

  • Ability to travel as business needs require.

  • Individual in this position must be able to work in a standard office environment which requires sitting and viewing monitor(s) for extended periods of time, operating standard office equipment such as, but not limited to, a keyboard, copier and telephone.

COMPENSATION

The salary range for this position is $145-155K. Specific offers take into account a candidate's education, experience and skills, as well as the candidate's work location and interal equity. This position is also eligible for health insurance, 401k, and bonus opportunity.
