The Facilities Operations and Maintenance Supervisor is a pivotal leadership position responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient operation and maintenance of facility systems.This role demands a proactive leader who can effectively guide, inspire, and manage a team of technicians, overseeing hiring, training, and development to exceed performance expectations while cultivating a culture of accountability and operational excellence.
What You'll Do
- Safety Leadership: Champion and reinforce a robust safety culture across all operations, ensuring strict adherence to health, safety standards, and policies, including PPE and LOTO protocols and promptly reporting incidents
- System Oversight: Direct the operation and maintenance of critical building systems, including mechanical, electrical, fire/life safety, gas/chemical systems, water, and industrial wastewater systems
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage the Facilities Operations and Maintenance Team with a focus on driving performance, fostering collaboration, and aligning efforts with organizational goals. Performance Management: Set clear performance expectations, monitor and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs), provide constructive feedback, implement performance improvement plans to ensure direct reports consistently meet or exceed standards, and address performance issues decisively, handling disciplinary actions and terminations as needed, in line with company policies
- Staff Development: Actively mentor, train, and develop technicians through hands-on guidance, structured training programs, and career development opportunities, empowering them to grow professionally and contribute to team success. Establish / Maintain Culture: Build and sustain a culture of accountability by modeling ownership, enforcing adherence to policies and procedures, and ensuring team members take responsibility for delivering high-quality, timely results
- Decision-Making: Exercise independent judgment in making facilities operations decisions within departmental policies and the scope of the role
- Policy Development: Develop, recommend, and implement policies, procedures, and processes to enhance facilities maintenance and operations, ensuring consistent compliance across the team
- Problem Solving: Identify complex challenges, evaluate options, and implement effective solutions to maintain seamless operations
What You'll Bring
- Proven leadership experience (2-5+ years) as a supervisor or manager, with a strong track record of managing and developing teams
- Bachelor's Degree preferred with extensive technical expertise and demonstrated success in troubleshooting and maintaining facility systems (mechanical, electrical, gas/chemical, water, wastewater, and control systems) in a 24/7 manufacturing environment, or equivalent experience
- Proven ability to drive and sustain a zero-accident safety culture, including experience with emergency response teams and safety protocols (PPE, LOTO)
- Exceptional listening, organizational, and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to engage effectively with employees and senior leadership
- Evidence of strong leadership, a positive attitude, and excellent written and verbal communication skills in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work seamlessly across teams and ability to thrive under shifting priorities and demanding timelines while maintaining composure and focus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)

Expected Compensation
- Supervisor Production Line Maintenance - $97,200 - $145,800/annual salary
- Associate Mgr Production Line Maintenance - $115,200 - $172,800/annual salary
- Mgr Production Line Maintenance - $136,800 - $205,200/annual salary
- Sr Mgr Production Line Maintenance - $158,400 - $237,600/annual salary
+ cash and stock awards + benefits for all levels
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
