Business Analyst

The Role

The Lead Business Analyst owns the business analysis workstream at the client site, acting as the bridge between business stakeholders and delivery teams. The role leads requirement elicitation, documentation and validation, drives solution alignment with business objectives, and provides guidance to a team of business analysts across the engagement.



What You'll Do

* Lead requirement elicitation workshops with client business stakeholders, product owners and SMEs.

* Author and maintain business requirement documents, functional specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria.

* Analyze existing business processes, identify gaps and recommend process or system improvements.

* Partner with architects and development teams to ensure solutions meet documented business needs.

* Own backlog grooming, prioritization and traceability of requirements through to delivery.

* Support UAT planning, test scenario definition and defect triage with business users.

* Guide, review and mentor junior business analysts; enforce documentation and quality standards.

* Present analysis, options and recommendations to senior client stakeholders and manage expectations.

* Ensure compliance with client governance, data security and regulatory standards (including HIPAA/PHI where applicable).

What You Need

* Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline; MBA is an advantage.

* 6-9 years of experience in business analysis, including leading analysis workstreams or small BA teams.

* Strong expertise in requirement gathering, process mapping, gap analysis and documentation.

* Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum delivery and tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps and Confluence.

* Working knowledge of SQL and the ability to perform independent data validation and analysis.

* Excellent written and verbal communication, facilitation and stakeholder management skills.

* Must be authorized to work in the USA and available to work from the client location.

* Preferred / Value-Add Certification such as CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA or Certified Scrum Product Owner.

* Exposure to US healthcare / payer domain processes (claims, membership, provider, care management).

* Familiarity with visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) for business reporting.

Location & Compensation

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.

Compensation Range: $80,000-$120,000

Benefits

Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty.
