About the Opportunity:
We are seeking a Business Operations Analyst 2 to support process improvement, operational analytics, reporting, and business performance initiatives within Lam Research's Global Operations organization. In this role, you'll leverage data, analytics, and process improvement methodologies to identify opportunities, drive operational efficiencies, and support data-driven decision-making across the business.

What You'll Do:
  • Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for operational improvements.
  • Plan, perform, and implement continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and process optimization methodologies.
  • Develop, automate, and maintain business reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.
  • Create impactful data visualizations and executive-level reporting using Power BI and Excel.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret operational data to identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities.
  • Measure operational performance against established KPIs and business objectives.
  • Facilitate cross-functional projects and collaborate with stakeholders to implement process improvements.
  • Develop process maps, workflow diagrams, and business documentation.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses and support business case development.
  • Identify and communicate process gaps while providing data-driven recommendations to leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance standards and reporting best practices.
  • Support change management activities related to process, reporting, and systems improvements.
  • Deliver presentations and communicate project progress, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders.
Job Requirements
What You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, Analytics, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in business operations, process improvement, business analytics, operational excellence, or a related analytical role.
  • 2+ years of experience developing reports, dashboards, and business analytics solutions.
  • 2+ years of experience using Microsoft Excel for complex analysis, reporting, data manipulation, and automation.
  • 2+ years of experience using Power BI for dashboard creation, reporting, and data visualization.
  • 1+ year of experience supporting process improvement, Lean, Six Sigma, or operational excellence initiatives.
  • 1+ year of experience collecting, analyzing, and interpreting operational or business performance data.
  • 2+ years of experience building advanced Power BI dashboards and automated reporting solutions.

  • Strong data storytelling and visualization skills.

  • Knowledge of data governance, reporting standards, and process controls.
  • Experience supporting operational performance management and KPI development.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities including Pivot Tables, Power Query, data models, formulas, and automation.
  • Ability to influence decision-making through data-driven insights.
  • Strong change management and process implementation experience.
  • Self-starter with excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Experience creating executive-level presentations and communicating analytical findings.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.
