MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Training and Experience:



  • Experience as an operations staff analyst, exercise planner and tactical data analyst.
  • Rated Aircrew experience desired.
  • Capability to support operations division and assist with exercise planning and coordination; support to annual Concept Development Event.
  • Capability to compile exercise data such as readiness surveys, mission results, etc., into tracking systems; support exercise briefings and debriefings; facilitate the exercise planning events' contract process; contribute to exercise reports.
  • Experience in Red Flag or other Large Force Exercises, required.
  • Strong writing skills, required.
  • Combat plans squadron experience, desired; program management skills (including project management software), desired; USAF staff experience, desired.


Security Clearance:

Must possess and maintain a Secret clearance.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct mission debrief analyses by gathering, reviewing, and interpreting tactical data, mission results, aircrew feedback, and exercise performance metrics.
  • Support the Operations Division by assisting with planning, coordination, and execution of training events, large-force exercises, and the annual Concept Development Event.
  • Compile exercise-related information-such as readiness surveys, mission effectiveness data, and participant feedback-into tracking systems and structured databases.
  • Prepare, deliver, and support exercise briefings and debriefings, ensuring accurate representation of tactical outcomes, mission objectives, and operational lessons learned.
  • Assist in the exercise planning contract process, coordinating with internal divisions, partner units, and external stakeholders to ensure requirements are met and documentation is complete.
  • Apply experience in combat plans or operations planning to ensure debriefing and exercise analysis products reflect accurate tactics, capabilities, and mission employment.
  • Collaborate with USAF staff, Joint partners, and Coalition participants to ensure mission data is collected, standardized, and disseminated in accordance with established procedures.
  • Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
