Associate Director, School Engagement in the Arts
Job Summary 92NY seeks an Associate Director, School Engagement in the Arts to join the School Engagement in the Arts (SEA) department, a team dedicated to delivering exceptional arts and humanities education to K to 12 students and their teachers at public schools across New York City. Reporting to the Director of School Engagement in the Arts, the Associate Director provides key programmatic leadership across the department and works closely with the Director and Executive Director in the planning and implementation of school-based residencies, performances, professional development, and other arts education initiatives. The Associate Director brings extensive experience working with New York City public schools and managing relationships with school leaders, educators, and Teaching Artists, as well as specific experience in dance and dance education. The position also leads the Young Writers Workshop, including the planning and implementation of the program. Job Responsibilities Include
Work with the Director and Executive Director to develop, implement, and expand arts education programs for New York City public school students in collaboration with programming areas across 92NY.
Experience, Education, & Skills Desired
Work Environment & Requirements 40 hours per week. Typical work schedule will be Monday to Friday, with flexibility required to oversee select evening or weekend programs and events.
