POSITION SPECIFICS

The Department of Accounting of The Pennsylvania State University (University Park, PA) seeks to fill one or more tenured faculty positions in accounting at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor beginning in Fall 2027. Candidates must contribute to the mission of the Smeal College of Business and the Department of Accounting in the areas of research, teaching, and service.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Those in the final stages of completing a PhD program will be considered for appointment as an Assistant Professor. To be considered for an Associate Professor appointment, the successful candidate should possess the same qualifications as the Assistant Professor, but must also provide evidence of an established reputation in scholarly or professional achievement. To be considered for Full Professor rank, the candidate should possess the same qualifications as the Associate Professor, but must also provide evidence of a substantial record of advanced research and of leadership in their field of specialization. All successful candidates are expected to hold a Ph.D. in Accounting or a related field by the start of their appointment, possess a publication record commensurate with their rank, pursue an active research program, and demonstrate teaching competence in accounting analytics, auditing, financial accounting, managerial accounting, or taxation. Onsite teaching is an essential function of the job.
