Description The Lending Support & Training Specialist provides flexible support to the East Market lending team, assists with the training and development of Lending Assistants, and supports ongoing operational needs within the market. This position serves as an additional resource to ensure continuity of lending support, promote consistency in processes and procedures, and assist with exception management and special projects. The position requires strong interpersonal skills, patience, adaptability, and the ability to communicate effectively with individuals with varying levels of experience, personalities, and working styles. Essential Duties: 1. Provide Lending Assistant coverage throughout the East Market as needed, including during staffing shortages, vacancies, absences, periods of increased workload, or other business needs. 2. Assist with onboarding and training newly hired Lending Assistants on lending processes, procedures, systems, and departmental expectations. 3. Provide ongoing training and support to Lending Assistants on Abrigo, including system functionality, processes, and best practices. 4. Serve as a resource to Lending Assistants by answering questions and providing guidance related to established lending processes and procedures. 5. Assist with identifying training needs and opportunities for continued development within the Lending Assistant team. 6. Assist with the collection, follow-up, and clearing of loan and documentation exceptions. 7. Work with lenders, Lending Assistants, and other departments as necessary to obtain documentation or information needed to resolve outstanding exceptions. 8. Assist with special projects, process improvements, conversions, implementations, and other initiatives as assigned. 9. Travel to branches within the East Market as needed to provide coverage, training, or operational support. 10. Maintain knowledge of current lending procedures, systems, documentation requirements, and applicable bank policies. 11. Promote consistency and adherence to established lending processes and procedures throughout the market. 12. Work effectively with a variety of personalities, communication styles, and experience levels. 13. Adapt training and communication methods based on individual needs and learning styles. 14. Strong knowledge of commercial lending processes and loan documentation. 15. Professional and collaborative, with the ability to build effective working relationship across multiple branches and departments. 16. Identify issues, research solutions, exercise sound judgment, and work independently. 17. Adapt quickly when providing coverage for different lenders, branches, or teams. 18.
