Phlebotomist II Location: 3280 Howell Mill Rd NW, Atlanta, GA 30327 Duration: 3+ months Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-6:00 PM, with flexibility required Interview Process Phone Screen Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist II to support a busy onsite laboratory location in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of phlebotomy/drawing experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment involving both specimen collection and specimen processing. This position requires an individual who is punctual, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable being on their feet and walking for most of the day. Key Responsibilities Perform blood draws and specimen collection from patients of all ages. Average 20-30 draws per day. Receive and collect specimens from phlebotomists at the site. Process specimens following established laboratory procedures. Perform specimen pour-offs and prepare specimens for shipment to the Birmingham laboratory. Ensure specimens are properly handled, processed, and prepared for transport. Work as part of a 3-person onsite team responsible for specimen collection and processing. Maintain accuracy and efficiency while working in a fast-paced environment. Remain on your feet and walk for most of the workday. Follow all applicable laboratory, safety, and specimen-handling procedures. Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years of phlebotomy/blood-drawing experience. High school diploma or GED. Experience working with patients of all ages. Ability to perform approximately 20-30 blood draws per day. Experience with specimen processing is strongly relevant to this assignment. Ability to perform repetitive specimen-processing tasks, including pour-offs. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent punctuality and attendance. Ability to work onsite Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-6:00 PM, with flexibility. Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of phlebotomy experience. Previous experience with specimen processing. Experience in a laboratory or IOP (Independent/Integrated Outpatient) environment. Experience handling and preparing specimens for laboratory shipment. Experience working in a team-based phlebotomy/laboratory setting. Work Environment Onsite laboratory location 3-person team Patient population includes all ages Standing and walking for most of the day Average of 20-30 draws daily Training will be provided onsite for approximately 1-2 weeks alongside other phlebotomists. Vaccination Requirements Hepatitis B - may be declined TB testing required | |
