Job Title: Logistics Project Professional

Location(s): Cary, NC

Job Summary
This position is responsible for managing consignment, trunk stock, and tool inventory for the field organization. The role will support spare part and tool/test inventories, provide reporting and analysis related to inventory management, and prepare and perform annual physical inventory activities in accordance with accounting guidelines.

The position will also support the current platform and assist with the transition to SAP integration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide inventory support services to Customer Service Engineers (CSEs) and other partners by phone and online.
  • Support Customer Administration with:
    • Resolution of service report errors.
    • Reversals for incorrect billings.
    • Serial number error escalations related to the installed base.
  • Support returns operations with:
    • Resolution of return processing errors and issues.
    • Proactive identification of process improvement opportunities with the goal of reducing errors.
    • Research and follow-up on missing parts.
  • Manage consignment, trunk stock, spare part, tool, and test inventories.
  • Provide inventory reporting and analysis as required.
  • Coordinate and schedule physical inventory activities with Field Management.
  • Execute physical inventory activities with the field in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile inventory between SAP, CSE, and calibration records with minimal variance.
  • Work closely with CSEs and management on escalations and material recounts.
  • Follow up on inventory transactions that contain errors during physical inventory counts.
  • Resolve PO posting errors.
  • Resolve tool order failures.
  • Prepare reports and analysis related to inventory management.
  • Work with Customer Administration, returns operations, Regional Service Managers, Customer Service Engineers, logistics providers, Finance, calibration providers, Customer Care, and Tool Center staff.
  • Adapt to changing workflows and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree.
  • 5-8 years of successful experience in material logistics, inventory management, or a related area preferred; candidates with 1-2 years of relevant experience may be considered.
  • Experience with SAP or similar inventory management systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Basic Excel skills, including lookups.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in resolving inventory and workflow issues.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly for accounting processes and audits.
  • Ability to work independently and remain productive in a remote environment.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong decision-making abilities.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing workflows and daily priorities.
  • Strong organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
  • 5-8 years of material logistics or inventory management experience.
  • Experience working with SAP-based inventory processes.
  • Experience with consignment, trunk stock, spare parts, tools, and test equipment inventory.
  • Experience performing physical inventory, reconciliation, and audit activities.

Work Arrangement

  • Remote after initial onboarding.
  • Candidate must reside in the greater Raleigh-Durham (RDU) area.
  • Initial in-person orientation, equipment pickup, and training are required.
  • Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM.
  • Weekly remote team huddle.
  • Teams video interview with camera on; likely 1-2 interview rounds.

Schedule:

  • Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Location:
Remote after initial onboarding; candidates must reside in the greater Raleigh-Durham (RDU) area for in-person orientation, training, and equipment pickup.
