Help our leaders stay focused and move important work forward. Are you someone who brings structure to competing priorities, keeps projects moving forward and follows through on the details? At Worthington Steel, those strengths can make you an exceptional partner to our executive leaders. We're looking for an Executive Assistant who combines strong organization and project coordination skills with sound judgment, business curiosity and a genuine interest in helping others succeed. Your background may be in executive support, project management, program coordination or business operations. You do not need to have held an Executive Assistant title to be considered. Reporting to our Chief of Staff, you'll support multiple members of our Executive Leadership Team across functions including HR, Legal, Corporate Communications/Investor Relations, Finance and Integration. You'll learn their priorities, coordinate important processes and help turn direction into action. Hands-on executive support is central to this position, including calendars, travel, expenses and meeting coordination. Alongside those responsibilities, you'll own recurring processes, coordinate executive-sponsored assignments and anticipate what needs to happen next. Why Worthington Steel? Put your coordination and problem-solving skills to work. Apply your ability to organize complex work, manage deadlines, coordinate contributors and keep commitments on track. You'll take ownership of defined assignments and processes, not simply pass information from one person to another. Learn different areas of the business. Build an understanding of how our leaders and teams work, why their priorities matter and how thoughtful executive support helps them operate more effectively. Grow through increasing responsibility. As your knowledge and capabilities develop, there may be opportunities to take on broader responsibilities based on your performance, interests and organizational needs. You'll join a culture guided by Our Philosophy, where treating people with respect, acting with integrity and building trust matter at every level. We value people who bring a service mindset, stay constructive when plans change and take pride in helping the team succeed. What You'll Do
Throughout your work, you'll handle confidential, sensitive and privileged information with exceptional care and discretion. What You'll Bring We welcome experienced executive assistants and candidates with transferable experience in project management, program coordination or executive-facing operations. Success in this role requires both the ability to coordinate meaningful work and a genuine interest in the day-to-day responsibilities of executive support.
Direct C-suite support and experience supporting multiple executives are preferred, but not required. A bachelor's degree is not required. Demonstrated capability and relevant experience are more important. What Success Looks Like You become a trusted partner who understands executive priorities, anticipates needs and keeps important work moving. Meetings are well coordinated, materials are polished, deadlines are met and open items are followed through to completion. Leaders can rely on you to take ownership, offer thoughtful solutions and help them stay focused and prepared. Work Arrangement and Expectations This is a full-time, in-office position at our Columbus, Ohio corporate headquarters. It is not a hybrid role. Reasonable flexibility is available when personal needs or appointments arise. The role primarily operates during normal business hours, with some flexibility expected for time-sensitive matters outside those hours, particularly changes affecting the following day's executive schedules. Occasional business travel may be required but is not expected to be routine. Bring your organization, project skills and business curiosity to Worthington Steel and help our leaders do their best work. | |
