Talent Acquisition Specialist

Location: Cleveland, OH or St. Louis, MO

Salary: $70,000-$85,000

Employment Type: Full-Time

A well-established professional services organization is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join its Human Resources team in either Cleveland or St. Louis. This position will own the full-cycle recruitment process for staff-level positions across multiple offices while also supporting broader professional recruiting initiatives.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will serve as the primary recruiting partner for staff hiring, working closely with hiring managers, HR leadership, and business leaders to attract, assess, and hire high-quality talent. This role is ideal for an experienced recruiter who enjoys managing searches from intake through onboarding while also contributing to sourcing strategy, employer branding, recruiting analytics, and process improvement.


Responsibilities


  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for exempt and non-exempt staff positions across multiple offices and functional areas.



  • Partner with hiring managers to understand position requirements, candidate profiles, and hiring priorities.



  • Develop and post job advertisements across LinkedIn, job boards, professional associations, niche recruiting channels, and internal platforms.



  • Proactively source candidates through LinkedIn, networking, employee referrals, professional organizations, and other recruiting resources.



  • Review resumes and conduct initial candidate interviews and assessments.



  • Utilize behavioral and competency-based interviewing techniques to evaluate candidates against defined success criteria.



  • Coordinate interviews and facilitate timely feedback throughout the hiring process.



  • Develop and recommend employment offer terms and assist with presenting offers to selected candidates.



  • Support background checks, pre-employment requirements, and new hire logistics.



  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure new employees have appropriate systems, equipment, and workspace access.



  • Develop and facilitate new hire orientation.



  • Build and maintain relationships with search firms, recruiting vendors, and other external talent sources.



  • Maintain accurate candidate and requisition information within the applicant tracking system.



  • Track recruiting activity, hiring metrics, and other talent acquisition data.



  • Provide recruiting and administrative support for professional-level hiring initiatives.



  • Assist with internship and early-career program coordination.



  • Help ensure a consistent, professional, and positive candidate experience throughout the recruiting process.




Qualifications

Required:




  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.



  • 3-5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience.



  • Experience recruiting across multiple departments, functional areas, or locations.



  • Strong experience conducting behavioral and competency-based interviews.



  • Ability to assess candidates against defined job requirements and organizational needs.



  • Experience working with applicant tracking systems and other recruiting technologies.



  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.



  • Excellent organizational, project management, and follow-through abilities.



  • Ability to manage multiple open positions and competing priorities simultaneously.




Preferred:




  • Recruiting experience within professional services, legal, financial services, or a corporate environment.



  • Experience recruiting administrative, professional, or business support positions.



  • Familiarity with employment laws, recruiting compliance, and hiring best practices.




Compensation & Benefits

The anticipated salary range for this position is $70,000-$85,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
