Overview NaphCare is hiring Mental Health LPNs/LVNs to join our healthcare team at Kilby Correctional Facility in Mt. Meigs, Alabama! This is a great opportunity for nurses looking to expand their clinical experience, build behavioral health skills, and make a meaningful impact while caring for an underserved patient population in a unique healthcare setting. Pay Range: $32.40-$34.20/hour + Shift Differential for Evening & Night Shifts As a Mental Health LPN/LVN, you'll work alongside mental health professionals, medical providers, and correctional staff to provide quality care to individuals within the Alabama Department of Corrections. You'll have the opportunity to strengthen your clinical skills while providing care to patients with a variety of behavioral and mental health needs. Responsibilities may include performing patient assessments, administering medications, supporting treatment plans, monitoring changes in patients' physical and mental health, and responding to urgent clinical needs. Responsibilities As a Mental Health LPN/LVN, you will play a critical role in providing quality healthcare that protects the rights, dignity, and health of our unique patient population. Working alongside mental health and medical professionals, you will support patients with a variety of behavioral health and clinical needs. Duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Performing patient assessments and gathering medical and behavioral health history
Qualifications Education / Licenses / Certifications / Requirements
Physical Capabilities: Must have the ability to stand for long periods, lift and move patients (up to 50 pounds), bend, squat, reach, push, pull, walk significant distances, and perform physically demanding tasks like CPR, all while maintaining good balance and endurance throughout a shift.
