Opportunity Details:

  • The Department is part of a280-bed acute care facility that includes the ICU, BICU, NICU, PICU, CCU, step-down floors, and ambulatory services.
  • Treatspatients on the acute and/or ambulatory services.
  • Assists with maintaining treatment equipment and ensuring a safe environment for the patients.
  • Maintains accurate recordof patient evaluations, progress, recommendations, and goals.
  • Supervises student interns and volunteers as assigned.
  • Assists the supervisor or chief in preparing daily stats.
  • Participates in the clinical education program for student therapists by mentoring a student intern.
  • Educates patient and/or family regarding the occupational therapy aspects of diagnosis, treatment plan, and prognosis in an appropriate manner.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy programwith a BS or higher in Occupational Therapy
  • Current NYS License
  • Pediatric or ICU experience a plus

Hourly Rate = $65* per hour
