Job Description The Contractor Licensing team helps contractors navigate licensing requirements and supports the communities that rely on their work. This entry-level License Monitor position provides customer service and general administrative support for contractor licensing and related building permits, including reviewing forms, maintaining records, and processing payments. We offer an opportunity to learn local government operations while building customer service and administrative skills.
Answers phones, refers calls and customers; greets customers and gives standard information in response to phone, email, or in-person inquiries.
Job Requirements Minimum Job Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent is required. May require KS/MO driver's license, depending on department or agency. Johnson County Government requires reference/background screening for all positions. Specified criteria may vary by Department/Agency. Preferred Job Requirements: One year of customer service; one year of cashiering or money handling experience are preferred. Education/Experience Substitutions: Experience may be substituted for degree. Education may be substituted for experience. Physical, Environmental, and Special Working Conditions: Within sixty (60) days of hire, employees (select DHE and EMS positions) must produce proof of immunization, proof of immunity, proof that immunization is medically contraindicated, submit a written objection to immunization based upon a sincerely held religious belief, or receive vaccination for the following: Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR); Tetanus Diphtheria and Acellular Pertussis (TDAP); and Varicella (Chickenpox).
