Organizes, coordinates, tracks, and supports execution of research programs and strategic initiatives for the Female Initiative for Neuroscience Discovery (FIND) and large, collaborative, multi-investigator research programs, including NIH grants and applications such as U19 mechanisms. Works closely with the Principal Investigator to translate program and research priorities into actionable plans, coordinate activities across investigators and teams, track timelines, milestones, responsibilities, and deliverables, and ensure follow-through on project goals.

Coordinates meetings, communications, and activities across faculty, research teams, collaborators, and institutional partners; maintains project plans and tracking systems; identifies upcoming deadlines and outstanding action items; follows up with responsible individuals; and helps move projects from planning through execution. Supports the development, submission, administration, and reporting of complex multi-investigator grants, including coordinating materials and contributions from multiple investigators and institutions.

For FIND, supports research and programmatic initiatives, grant activities, strategic planning, and interactions with donors and philanthropic partners. Organizes research and program data and assists with preparation of presentations, reports, scientific updates, and data visualizations. Provides day-to-day support to the Principal Investigator, including scheduling, meeting preparation, correspondence, organization of materials and records, and follow-up on priorities and action items.

The position requires strong organization, initiative, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, anticipate next steps, communicate effectively across diverse teams, and help ensure that plans and programs are carried through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

15 Yes Applies professional or research concepts to perform analysis of data and systems pertaining to moderately complex projects, policies, initiatives, / processes, and / or functions. Analyzes and organizes research and programmatic data for NIH grant(s) and FIND; tracks research progress, milestones, and deliverables; and supports visualization and presentation of data across projects.
10 Yes Gathers and assembles analytical and factual data on assigned problems and issues to prepare reports and / or analyses summarizing information on the assigned issues and commenting on other significance for internal or external constituents. Compiles scientific, programmatic, and operational information across NIH Grant(s), FIND projects and prepares summaries, progress reports, dashboards, and materials for leadership and internal and external stakeholders.
15 Yes Prepares, edits and modifies documents including research reports, manuscripts, presentations and proposals. Supports preparation and coordination of grant applications, progress reports, scientific presentations, donor materials, and other NIH grant and FIND communications; tracks grant deadlines, requirements, and submissions.

  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.

  • At least one year of experience supporting research, academic, scientific or health-related or other complex interdiscinplinary programs or projects.

  • At least 1 year of experience coordinating projects or teams, including scheduling meetings, tracking action items, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.

  • Working knowledge of common organization- or research-specific and other computer application programs.

  • Proficient in communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

  • Proficient in ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality.

  • Demonstrates ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns.

  • Demonstrates ability to analyze, research and synthesize large amounts of data with strong attention to detail.

  • Proficient in ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes.
