General Maintenance Technician
$22.00-$27.00/hour | Career Growth & Apprenticeship Opportunities Looking for a hands-on maintenance role with room to grow? As a General Maintenance Technician, you'll help keep our facility safe, maintained, and running smoothly while learning alongside experienced mechanics and electricians. This is a great opportunity for someone with maintenance, construction, manufacturing, or mechanical experience who wants to build their skills and grow into a skilled trade career. Employees who show initiative, reliability, and a willingness to learn may have opportunities for additional training through Mohawk Valley Community College (MVCC) and our Industrial Maintenance Technician (IMT) or Electro-Mechanical Technician (EMT) apprenticeship programs.

Pay & Schedule
- $22.00-$27.00/hour, based on experience
- Start on Day Shift: 7:00 AM-3:00 PM for one month
- Followed by Afternoon Shift: 3:00 PM-11:00 PM for one week
- Overtime opportunities available
What You'll Do
- Complete general building and facility maintenance, including painting, carpentry, wall and flooring repairs, and landscaping.
- Help maintain offices, common areas, and plant facilities.
- Assist mechanics and electricians with repairs, installations, and maintenance projects.
- Perform basic preventive maintenance on equipment and facility systems.
- Use hand tools, power tools, lifts, and other maintenance equipment safely. Training will be provided as needed.
- Help with equipment moves, installations, and facility improvement projects.
- Keep work areas clean and organized.
- Follow all company safety requirements.
- Gain hands-on experience that can help prepare you for future IMT or EMT apprenticeship opportunities.
What We're Looking For
- Maintenance, manufacturing, construction, mechanical repair, or skilled trade experience is preferred.
- Mechanical ability and a willingness to learn.
- Dependable with a strong attendance record.
- Safety-focused and comfortable working in an industrial environment.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willing to take on new responsibilities and continue developing skills.
- Interested in building a long-term career in maintenance.
