Pet/CT Supervisor

SCRI Oncology Partners, located in Nashville, Tenn., is a dedicated Oncology Practice led by globally recognized oncologists with disease expertise in cancer care and clinical research. The practice conducts clinical trials through their affiliation with Sarah Cannon Research Institute (SCRI), a global leader in oncology research that has been offering and managing clinical trials in the community for over 30 years. Since its inception, SCRI has contributed to pivotal research that has helped advance the majority of new cancer therapies approved by the FDA today.

SCOPE:

The PET/CT Supervisor oversees the daily operations of PET/CT sites of service. In this role, the supervisor coordinates scheduling and patient flow while also overseeing and performing technical scanning functions. The PET/CT supervisor supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including its Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

• Performs PET scan procedures to include injection of radiopharmaceutical, set- up of protocol, reconstruction and development of images, coordination of image on report function, and management of clinical database information.
• Coordinates site front office and business office activities to ensure smooth workflow.
• Develops PET teaching and case files as a resource for technologists. Trains new technologists and staff.
• Develops and implements PET policy manual and procedure protocols. Ensures compliance with state licensing organizations and regulatory agencies. Coordinates equipment maintenance.
• Ensures accuracy of patient record keeping, timely billing and assists in developing educational/marketing materials from PET images.
• Supervises technical and office staff in PET sites.

• Graduate of an accredited or registered school of Radiologic Technology required
• Minimum seven years experience in Nuclear Medical Technology, including at least three years directly related experience in PET Technology.
• CNMT (Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist) or ARRT (N) certification required.
• Nuclear Medicine technical experience required.
• Current certification in basic life support required
• Graduate of an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine Technology or equal years of experience in Nuclear Medecine and/or PET with NMTCB or equivalent certification preferred but not required.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.

Requires ability to reach above shoulder height. Requires sitting/standing for extensive periods of time. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
