We are seeking a Business Development & Sales Associate to help grow and re-establish a Bulk/B2B sales channel for a global consumer brand. This is a hands-on role combining business development, sales, customer relationship management, order processing, and operational coordination.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of business development or sales experience and enjoys building opportunities from the ground up. This person should be comfortable handling both client-facing sales activities-including proactive outreach and cold calling-and the detailed operational work required to move orders from initial inquiry through fulfillment.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment and enjoys creating structure while helping grow a developing business line.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales

  • Support the growth and expansion of the Bulk/B2B business.
  • Identify prospective customers and conduct proactive outreach, including cold calling.
  • Build pipeline across target segments such as corporate gifting, promotional agencies, hospitality and service organizations, universities, and institutional partners.
  • Capture and convert inbound customer demand into confirmed business.
  • Support pricing conversations using established rate cards.
  • Partner with customers on product selection, customization options, order quantities, and timelines.
  • Help increase brand visibility and identify new revenue opportunities.

Lead Intake & Customer Management

  • Manage incoming bulk-order inquiries through intake systems and email channels.
  • Gather key customer requirements, including order size, customization needs, delivery expectations, and timing.
  • Guide customers through the end-to-end ordering process.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Navigate challenging or complex customer conversations professionally within a corporate environment.

Sales Operations & Order Management

  • Manage orders throughout the full lifecycle, from initial inquiry through fulfillment.
  • Process inventory and coordinate purchase orders.
  • Partner closely with logistics, operations, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Track approvals, inventory availability, production timelines, fulfillment, and delivery milestones.
  • Maintain accurate visibility into order status and provide regular updates to customers.
  • Perform detailed, hands-on intake and administrative tasks needed to keep the business moving.

Process & Operational Improvement

  • Help improve intake processes, forms, workflows, and the overall customer experience.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline sales and operational processes as the business scales.
  • Support the development of repeatable processes that enable long-term growth.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, B2B sales, sales operations, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Previous experience in a client-facing sales environment.
  • Experience with order management, inventory, logistics, operations, and/or purchase orders.
  • Comfortable with proactive prospecting and cold outreach.
  • Strong communication and relationship-management skills.
  • Ability to manage detailed operational work while maintaining a strong customer focus.
  • Comfortable navigating challenging conversations in a professional corporate environment.
  • Highly independent, resourceful, and self-motivated.
  • Ability to thrive in a start-up-like environment where processes may still be developing.
  • Experience within a large consumer, retail, apparel, footwear, or lifestyle brand environment is strongly preferred.

Ideal Candidate

The strongest candidate will bring a combination of sales drive and operational execution. They are comfortable picking up the phone to develop new business, building relationships with customers, and then rolling up their sleeves to manage inventory, purchase orders, logistics, and fulfillment details. They are energized by the opportunity to help build and scale a developing B2B business rather than stepping into a fully established sales process.
