Financial Assistant - Coraopolis, PA

Earn $20.87/hour

This is a hybrid position: 2-3 days in office per week and the rest working remotely.

Position Overview:

This employee is responsible for analyzing various accounts, performing budget to actual cost comparisons, researching overruns, internal billing procedures and generating various reports. Work is checked during preparation processes, and this employee is supervised by the Finance Manager.

General Duties/Responsibilities:

• assist the Budget Manager in the preparation of financial reports.
• analyze various general ledger accounts.
• Prepares internal billing, tracks special services usage and tracks temporary service usage.
• Maintain work papers, schedules and other detailed information, as required.
• Has working knowledge of input into computer programs for the general ledger and financial statements.
• Assists at year end to include preparing schedules, providing explanation of supporting materials and procedures and preparing any other necessary data.
• Maintains records of all financial documents with appropriate supporting material. Updates records as necessary.
• May prepare monthly financial statements to include preparation of monthly report on changes in financial position/budget variances. Maintains related records.
• Prepares budget/actual payroll hours comparisons and researches overruns.
• Audits and proofs accounting reports for clerical accuracy and conformance to departmental and state procedures.
• Assists departmental personnel with budget activity, proper expenditure coding, document preparation and other accounting-related activities.
• Assists with budget preparation, documentation gathering.
• Performs other related duties as required.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED,
• One - three years' experience in accounting or any equivalent combination of experience and training
• Hybrid Role - position requires 1-2 days per week onsite in Coraopolis, PA.
