ACHD is continually accepting applications for Maintenance Workers in our Maintenance Division. These are full-time, non-exempt positions with a starting wage of $22.90$25.20 per hour, DOQ.

What will you do?

You'll be part of the team that helps keep Ada County's roads, sidewalks, drainage systems, and right-of-way safe and in good working order. No two days are exactly alike!

Your work may include:

• Operating equipment such as rollers, skid steers, and other light and medium maintenance and construction equipment.
• Getting your hands dirty performing heavy manual work to construct, maintain, and repair roadways, sidewalks, storm drains, concrete structures, traffic control facilities, and other right-of-way infrastructure.
• Helping keep Ada County moving in winter by operating snow removal equipment and applying sand and deicer to road surfaces.
• Responding when the unexpected happens by responding to roadway emergencies, work orders, debris, and other maintenance needs.
• Working as part of a team where safety, reliability, and getting the job done right matters every day.

Qualifications:

• Currently possess an Idaho driver's license.
• With ACHD's assistance, be able to obtain an Idaho Class A CDL with tanker endorsement within your first six months of employment, with the potential for a wage increase upon obtaining your CDL.
• Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be acceptable.
