As a Security Officer Full Time Government Building in Costa Mesa, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to alarms and access-control concerns, and provide exceptional customer service. You will communicate clearly with employees and visitors while supporting a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team culture built on integrity and teamwork.

Pay Rate: $26.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the facility, exterior areas, parking locations, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, helping to maintain appropriate access to authorized areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications in alignment with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be able to lift more than 20 pounds, preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have alarm panel experience, preferred.
• Have access control and/or badge experience, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
