Assistant/Associate/Full Clinical Professor, Speech, Language, & Hearing Sciences (Career-Track)

The University of Arizona's Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences seeks two full-time Speech-Language Pathology Clinical Faculty members to provide clinical services and participate in clinical education through supervising students at an otolaryngology clinic and the University clinic. One position will start around January 2027, and the other will start in July 2027.

The Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences is renowned for its clinical training programs in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology, as well as its active doctoral program. Our department includes 30 faculty members, 104 graduate students in three degree programs (M.S., Au.D, and Ph.D.), and 208 undergraduate students.

• Provide
  clinical and instrumental assessment and treatment to patients with
  communication, swallowing, or voice disorders
  secondary to head and
  neck cancer and progressive neurological diseases.
• Provide
  clinical services at an otolaryngology clinic and the University clinic.
• Participate
  in clinical education through supervising students in the context of their
  caseload.
• Collaborate
  with departmental faculty to provide evidence-based services.
• Assist
  clinical program leadership with clinical administration or development as
  assigned.
• Teach
  in the classroom related to area/s of expertise as assigned.
• Clinical
  program development.
• Ongoing
  clinical and process improvement.
• Other
  duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications, corresponding to rank:

• Master's
  or doctoral degree in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences, or equivalent.
• Three years of clinical
  experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist working with patients with
  voice or swallowing, and head and neck cancer, including TEP.
• License/license-eligibility
  for practice in Speech-Language Pathology in the state of Arizona.
• Certificate
  of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing
  Association.
• Experience
  with the adult patient populations evaluated and treated in otolaryngology clinics.

• More than five years of clinical experience.
  
• Experience with program development.
  
• Experience providing services to a variety of demographic populations.
  
• Experience with motor speech disorders.
  
• Experience with supervision.
  
• Spoken/written Spanish language skills.
