Assistant/Associate/Full Clinical Professor, Speech, Language, & Hearing Sciences (Career-Track)

The University of Arizona's Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences seeks a full-time Speech-Language Pathology Clinical Faculty member to serve as an SLP Placement Coordinator, with clinic management and clinical supervision duties as assigned. The successful candidate will participate in creating innovative SLP clinical education and service delivery opportunities at the University of Arizona. Experience in clinical education, student supervision, program development, project management, and culturally and linguistically sustaining clinical practice will help the candidate succeed in this role.

The Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences is renowned for its clinical training programs in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology, as well as its active doctoral program. Our department includes 30 faculty members, 104 graduate students in three degree programs (M.S., Au.D, and Ph.D.), and 208 undergraduate students.

• Oversee
  and improve the M.S.
  in SLP student placement and credentialing processes, both on campus
  and off campus.
• Work
  with departmental leadership to maintain active affiliation agreements
  with clinical sites.
• Direct
  the undergraduate and leveling student observation and clinical experience
  programs.
• Cultivate
  and maintain robust relationships with the regional and national speech-language
  pathologists who serve as volunteer preceptors.
• Track
  student experiences and hours in compliance with CAA and CFCC standards.
• Provide
  communication or feeding/swallowing services at the on-site clinic or
  contracted site, depending on the area of clinical specialization.
• Participate
  in the teaching, scholarship, and service activities of our academic program.
• Perform additional
  administrative responsibilities related to managing on-site or off-site clinics, as
  assigned.

Minimum qualifications, corresponding to rank:

• Master's or doctoral degree in Speech, Language, and Hearing
  Sciences, or equivalent.
• Ten years of experience as a
  Speech-Language Pathologist with patient care responsibilities.
• License/license-eligibility for
  practice in Speech-Language Pathology in the state of Arizona.
• Certificate of Clinical
  Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
• Experience with culturally and
  linguistically sustaining clinical practices.

• Five years of experience in clinical education or supervision.
  
• Previous experience with successful program development.
  
• Prior experience with project management.
  
• Experience supporting skill development in SLPs and SLP students.
  
• Experience leading collaborative teams.
