Empower your Future at One of the Nation's Leading Independent Electrical Distributors!

At U.S. Electrical Services, Inc. (USESI), we combine over 100 years of expertise, $150M+ in inventory, and the power of 2,000+ dedicated employees across 150 locations to deliver excellence every day. As a family of 14 regional businesses, we thrive on innovation and teamwork, empowering our people to shape the future of the electrical industry.

USESI is seeking an organized, motivated, and creative Marketing Coordinator to join our marketing team. This is an entry-level opportunity designed for someone looking to begin and grow their career in marketing. Prior professional marketing experience is not required.

The Marketing Coordinator will support a variety of marketing activities, including events, promotions, digital communications, social media, marketing materials, vendor initiatives, and day-to-day coordination for our branch locations.

Initially, this role will focus on supporting the marketing team and learning our business, customers, vendors, and marketing processes. As the individual develops, they will have opportunities to take greater ownership of projects, work directly with internal teams and external partners, and eventually manage marketing initiatives from planning through execution.

We are looking for someone who is dependable, organized, eager to learn, comfortable working with different people, and willing to take on new responsibilities as they grow within the role.

Job Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day support for marketing initiatives across multiple brands and branch locations.
  • Assist with the planning and execution of customer events, trade shows, trainings, golf outings, promotional events, and other company activities.
  • Coordinate event logistics, including invitations, registrations, attendee lists, signage, promotional materials, giveaways, and other event needs.
  • Assist with customer and employee sales promotions, including promotional materials, communications, tracking, and reporting.
  • Support the creation and distribution of email marketing campaigns, social media content, digital signage, flyers, and other marketing communications.
  • Work with internal teams to gather information, coordinate requests, and ensure marketing projects are completed accurately and on time.
  • Communicate with manufacturer and vendor partners regarding marketing programs, events, promotions, materials, and other initiatives.
  • Maintain marketing calendars, project trackers, contact lists, promotional records, and other departmental resources.
  • Assist with ordering and coordinating promotional products, signage, printed materials, event supplies, and other marketing assets.
  • Help maintain consistent branding and messaging across marketing materials and communications.
  • Gather and organize campaign, promotion, and event results to assist with marketing reporting.
  • Support branch locations and sales teams with day-to-day marketing requests.
  • Attend company events, branch activities, vendor meetings, and industry events as needed.
  • Take on increased project ownership and additional marketing responsibilities as experience and knowledge develop.
  • Assist with other marketing projects and departmental needs as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's or associate degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred, but not required.
  • 0-2 years of professional experience; recent graduates and candidates beginning their marketing careers are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and willingness to follow projects through to completion.
  • Positive, professional attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Comfortable communicating with employees, customers, vendors, and other external partners.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Willingness to take initiative and gradually assume greater responsibility.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with marketing platforms, social media, email marketing, Canva/Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools is a plus but not required.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed.

Travel Requirements

This position requires occasional regional travel to support branch locations, customer events, meetings, and other marketing initiatives.

Regional travel may include approximately 1-2 trips per month, including travel to locations in New Jersey and New York, as well as locations throughout Connecticut and the surrounding region.

Occasional overnight and air travel may also be required, typically approximately 1-2 times per year, for conferences, meetings, company events, or other business needs.

Growth Opportunity

This position is intended to provide broad exposure to multiple areas of marketing and an opportunity to develop within the department. As the Marketing Coordinator gains experience and demonstrates the ability to independently manage assignments, the role can expand to include ownership of events, campaigns, vendor initiatives, communications, and other marketing projects from planning through completion.

The ideal candidate is someone interested in building a long-term career in marketing and excited to take on increasing levels of responsibility as they develop.
