Position Title: High Speed Machinist
Wage: $30.00-$33.00/hour Shift: Day or Night, Rotating 2-2-3 schedule We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to operate and set up CNC and manual machine tools to produce quality parts. The ideal candidate can read blueprints, understand machining processes, select appropriate tooling, and make basic machine adjustments as needed. High Speed Machinist Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Operate CNC and manual machining equipment - Set up and make adjustments to CNC machines as needed - Monitor machine operation and identify issues such as worn, damaged, or incorrect cutting tools - Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and part drawings - Determine machining methods and sequences based on drawings and engineering specifications - Select appropriate tools, machines, materials, speeds, and feeds for machining operations - Inspect work to ensure parts meet quality specifications - Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and housekeeping requirements - Work independently while following established procedures and engineering instructions - Troubleshoot basic machining and machine-operation issues High Speed Machinist Requirements: - High school diploma, GED, or HSED equivalent - Previous CNC machining or manufacturing experience preferred - Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings - Understanding of machining tools, materials, speeds, and feeds - Ability to make machine adjustments and recognize tooling issues - Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality - Ability to work independently - Willingness to work a 12-hour rotating 2-2-3 schedule, including days or nights - Frequently stand and walk throughout the shift - Regularly use hands to operate tools, controls, and machinery - Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds - Ability to work in a manufacturing environment for extended periods Benefits: Full-time employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including - Medical insurance - PPO and HDHP/HSA options - Dental and vision insurance - Wellness program - Life insurance - Short-term and long-term disability - Paid vacation - 10 paid holidays - Quarterly performance bonus - 401(k) with company matching up to 5.5% - Tuition reimbursement - On-site fitness center at select locations - On-site chiropractor at select locations QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
