Position Title: TIG Welder
Wage: $30.00-$33.00/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 6:00am-2:30pm We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder to weld and repair metal castings and components to quality specifications. The ideal candidate has experience with TIG welding, can set up and adjust welding equipment, understands welding procedures, and can inspect finished welds for quality. TIG Welder Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Set up and adjust welding machines and equipment for TIG welding - TIG weld and repair metal castings and components according to specifications - Set up parts and components for welding using drawings, specifications, and work instructions - Follow Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and established welding procedures - Work with Engineering on Procedure Qualification Records (PQRs) and WPS requirements - Perform required welding tests, certifications, inspections, and production checks - Visually inspect welds and finished components for defects or quality issues - Identify flaws in welded surfaces and structures and complete required rework - Record production, scrap, inspection results, and other required documentation - Ensure parts meet quality requirements before moving to the next operation - Follow all safety, quality, and housekeeping procedures - Organize and prioritize work throughout the assigned shift - Assist with training new employees as needed - Maintain dependable and reliable attendance TIG Welder Requirements: - High school diploma or GED equivalent - 1+ year of TIG welding experience in a manufacturing, foundry, fabrication, or similar environment - Ability to set up and adjust TIG welding equipment - Ability to weld and repair components to quality specifications - Ability to inspect welds and identify defects - Ability to follow welding procedures, work instructions, and specifications - Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality - Reliable attendance and ability to work independently - Preferred NADCAP welding experience - Preferred AWS welding certification - Preferred experience welding castings - Preferred foundry or metal casting experience - Preferred fabrication or manufacturing welding experience - Preferred experience working with WPS and PQR documentation - Technical school or welding institute certification QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
