POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

The Janitorial Services employee performs cleaning and maintenance duties to ensure a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in Federal facilities. This role requires handling various cleaning tasks efficiently, either as part of a team or independently, while maintaining security standards required for Federal facilities.

• Perform routine cleaning duties, including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms, kitchen areas, and other common spaces.
• Remove trash, recycle materials, and replenish supplies as needed.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and report maintenance or repair needs.
• Work cooperatively with team members or independently to complete assigned tasks.
• Follow all safety and security protocols, including those associated with Secret clearance requirements.
• Ensure proper use of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Monitor facility for cleanliness, sanitation, and safety issues, reporting concerns as necessary.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year experience providing janitorial support.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Basic communication and organizational skills.

Working Conditions:

• Work occurs in both office, warehouse and field environments.
  
  
• May require work outside of regular business hours to address urgent technical issues or project deadlines.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.

Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.

Ability to work in varied environmental conditions, including outdoor and industrial settings.
