Overview Tufts Institute for Al focuses on the intersections of Al technologies and healthy living, precision and translational medicine, human-machine interaction, and aspects of foundational Al and data science. This initiative represents an evolution of Tufts' commitment to advancing Al for Social Good and enhancing U.S. competitiveness in Al and data science. What You'll Do Provide support and guidance to researchers regarding data management and analysis. The data management responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, provide data management services to TIAI investigators, staff, and trainees. Training services include workshops and training for labs, core units, and trainees on data management best practices, and in data sharing and retention policies. Data management services include partnering with investigators and data scientists to develop, refine, and implement data collection and management plans; provide guidance for data collection, quality control and data cleaning; and contribute to development of plans for data close-out and codebooks, data sharing, and data retention; conduct analysis as directed by investigators and data scientists. Data management services to TIAI investigators, staff, develop and support computational pipelines Develop, refine, and implement data collection and management plans; provide guidance for data collection, quality control and data cleaning Training services include workshops and training for labs, core units, and trainees on data management best practices, and in data sharing and retention policies Conduct analysis as directed by investigators and data scientists; Set up and support analysis pipelines with proper data protection rules; Explore and qualify new tools for analysis; Collaborate on current/future grants through participation in grant proposals, submissions, publications and presentations. What We're Looking For Basic Requirements: Knowledge and experience typically acquired by: Master's Degree MS in data science, bioinformatics, computer science 2 or more years of related experience especially in life science related areas. Demonstrated experience building data pipelines and preparing large or complex datasets for analysis Proficiency in Python and R. Experience with statistical inference and machine learning applied to biological or biomedical data, and communicating results to a research audience Experience with bioinformatics analysis of next-generation sequencing (NGS) data, including single-cell, transcriptomics, and multi-omics integration Preferred Qualifications: Machine learning and deep learning frameworks such as scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow. Quantitative image analysis, for example microscopy, medical or radiological imaging MLOps: workflow orchestration and experiment tracking High-performance computing Large language models (LLMs) or other foundation models applied to scientific or clinical text Pay Range Minimum $89,100.00, Midpoint $111,500.00, Maximum $133,800.00 Salary is based on related experience, expertise, and internal equity; generally, new hires can expect pay between the minimum and midpoint of the range.
