Cybersecurity Product Engineer

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Product Engineer to lead product security execution across our software teams. In this role, you will define the security process and compliance approach, lead incident response readiness, and turn security obligations into clear engineering work.

Based at our global headquarters in Radford, VA, this position offers a hands-on, team-oriented environment.We emphasize continuous improvement and agile development to create products known for quality and features.We design products with the depth and flexibility advanced controls engineers need, while keeping them approachable for engineers who are earlier in their careers. Our products must be secure whileretainingease of use.

This role is broader thana single product. You will work across multiple software teams to shape cybersecurity planning, CVE response, mitigation strategy, and compliance documentation. You will help them make practical risk decisions and deliver secure product features on schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own product cybersecurity compliance execution across software teams.

• Lead the software incident response team and response process.

• Lead threat analysis, risk assessment, and cybersecurity planning for product features and releases.

• Define mitigation plans and convert cybersecurity requirements into executable engineering work.

• Lead CVE assessment, prioritization, and response coordination.

• Own compliance evidence and assessment documentation for software cybersecurity obligations.

• Build practical, repeatable cybersecurity processes that teams can apply consistently.

• Define risk thresholds, response levels, and escalation criteria.

• Contribute directly to mitigation design and implementation.

Responsibilities will scale with experience.Additionaltasks may be assigned as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, ora relatedfieldrequired.

• 5+ years of focused experience around cyber security.
• Strong experience in software development required.
• Product Cybersecurity Leadership: Ability to lead compliance, risk analysis, and mitigation planning across teams.Demonstrated success leading complex initiatives and providing strategic guidance across functions, with the ability to influence decision-making and deliver outcomes without direct reporting relationships required.

• Risk Analysis: Ability to assess threats, vulnerabilities, andrequiredproduct responses.

• Compliance and Documentation: Ability to lead assessments, records, and documentationrequiredfor cybersecurity compliance.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience working with embedded software teamsstronglypreferred.

• Experience in industrial automation, motion control, or related productsstronglypreferred.

• Industrial Product Domain Knowledge: Experience with cybersecurity implications for motion control, industrial automation, or embedded products.

• Communication:Clear communication of risk,requiredaction, and status to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Work Type:

Hybrid: This role follows a Hybrid Work Schedule requiring a minimum of 3 in-office days per week, Monday through Thursday, at your designated Regal Rexnord office, with theoptionto work remotely up to 2 days per week, including Friday.

Leveling Language:

Thispositionmay be filledat different levels depending onthecandidate's experience, skills, and business needs. The selected candidate's level and compensation will reflect thescopeof the roleandtheir demonstrated qualifications.

Pay Transparency Language:

Expected Base Salary:$75,000 - $94,200

The salary range provided is intended to display the value of the company's basepaycompensation for this position. Salary is dependent on a multitude of factors, including but not limited to the physical worksite location, the geographic market of that location, candidate's skill set, level of experience,educationand internal peer compensation comparisons among other potential factors.
