What to Expect

You'll own robot programming, commissioning, andprocess optimization on Tesla Body-in-White lines-raising efficiency, quality,and safety with process, controls, production, and maintenance. This is ahands-on role: path and process issues on the floor, then durable fixes in thecell.


What You'll Do

  • Program
    and commission KUKA (KRL / WorkVisual) and FANUC (TP / Roboguide) robots
    on BIW lines
  • Adjust
    robot paths, tools, bases, and reference frames
  • Set up
    and validate robot safety, including DCS, SafeOperation, and related
    systems
  • Configure
    and optimize gluing, bolting, riveting, welding, and material-handling
    sequences
  • Integrate
    robot I/O with PLCs and prove out robot-to-peripheral communication
  • Configure
    and integrate vision (Mech-Mind, iRVision, Perceptron, Coherix /
    VisionTech)
  • Troubleshoot
    live issues; maintain backups and documentation; coordinate with process,
    controls, and maintenance


What You'll Bring

  • Hands-on
    KUKA (KRL / WorkVisual) and FANUC (TP / Roboguide) programming and
    commissioning, ideally in Body-in-White or similar high-volume assembly
  • Experience
    adjusting paths, tools, bases, and frames, and commissioning DCS /
    SafeOperation (or equivalent)
  • Practical
    knowledge of joining and handling processes (glue, bolt, rivet, weld) and
    of PLC signal integration
  • Experience
    integrating industrial vision (Mech-Mind, FANUC iRVision, Perceptron,
    Coherix, or similar)
  • Comfortable
    debugging on the line, keeping backups and documentation current, and
    working across process, controls, and maintenance
  • Bias for
    action in a changing production environment, with close attention to
    safety and quality
  • Prior
    launch / install / buyoff on BIW or other high-volume automated lines
  • Familiarity
    with Tesla or similar OEM body-shop standards, cycle-time recovery, and
    production support
