Infor is a global leader in business cloud software products for companies in industry-specific markets. Infor builds complete industry suites in the cloud and deploys technology that puts the user experience first, leverages data science, and integrates easily into existing systems.
Infor IQ is a component of Infor Data Fabric that builds an ontology over Infor's CloudSuite ERP products, including entities, relationships, actions, business rules, and policies. This enables people and AI agents to query, reason over, and act on information with explainable and auditable results.
A Typical Day in the Life Includes: * Design, build, and maintain the Infor IQ backend services - the reasoning, query, and governance APIs that power the platform - as Spring Boot microservices within the Data Fabric ecosystem.
* Translate product requirements and design inputs into technical specifications and implementation plans.
* Develop and extend the reasoning surface: REST and GraphQL APIs that classify, traverse, explain, and authorize against the ontology, returning explainable and auditable decision records.
* Build the ontology data layer over a federated SQL query engine (data-lake tables via Athena/Trino) through an OBDA mapping layer, backed by tenant-aware rule execution (e.g., Drools) over layered named graphs.
* Design and harden the grounding-and-governance boundary - the platform authorizes and emits an auditable decision record but never runs side effects directly - including SHACL/structural validation and the decision-ledger audit pipeline.
* Review AI-generated code for correctness, architecture, performance, security, and maintainability.
* Partner with product, domain experts, and the frontend team, using AI development tools such as Claude and Kiro as part of everyday development.
Basic Qualifications: * Proven track record building and shipping production backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
* Strong command of API design and consumption - REST and GraphQL - including schema design and typed contracts.
* Hands-on with relational and/or query-federation data access (SQL, JDBC) and building performant data-access layers.
* Solid grounding in distributed systems: concurrency, caching, messaging/event streaming (e.g., Kafka), and horizontal scaling of stateless services.
* Comfortable with cloud infrastructure (AWS or equivalent) and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
* Disciplined about automated testing (unit, integration, end-to-end) and about security, multi-tenancy, and data-isolation practices in enterprise software.
* Day-to-day use of AI development tools such as Claude, Kiro, Microsoft Copilot, or similar to support software delivery.
Preferred Qualifications: * Familiarity with knowledge graph or semantic web technologies such as RDF, OWL, SPARQL, SHACL, or triplestores (e.g., Apache Jena/Fuseki).
* Working knowledge of OBDA / query-virtualization technologies (e.g., Ontop) or federated query engines (Athena, Trino, Presto).
* Background with rule engines or declarative decision systems (e.g., Drools) or workflow/BPMN engines.
* Prior integration of LLM/GenAI services (e.g., Amazon Bedrock, langchain4j) into backend workflows.
* Exposure to enterprise ERP, analytics, or BI products, including analytical models, KPIs, or data pipelines.
* Comfortable building on the JVM in a Gradle or Maven monorepo environment.
* Experience with event-driven architectures, stream processing, and observability tooling (metrics, tracing, structured logging).
