Doctor of Physical Therapy Faculty The College of Saint Mary (CSM) Division of Health Professions invites applications for a full-time, 12-month, non-tenured faculty appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank for a hybrid Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program in Omaha, NE. The ideal candidate will have experience and expertise teaching cardiovascular and pulmonary, acute care, pharmacology, and pathophysiology. The DPT program is completed in 2.5 years and uses a combination of online and face-to-face learning experiences to educate future practitioners. The blended learning model allows faculty and students to live remotely from campus. However, DPT faculty must travel to and stay in Omaha for designated periods each semester. The successful candidate's responsibilities include developing content and teaching courses that emphasize examination and intervention for patients/clients with movement dysfunctions; other teaching responsibilities will be considered. In addition, this faculty member will assist with mentoring in related areas of expertise within the CSM DPT Clinical Education Program and serve as a clinical instructor during integrated clinical education experiences. The candidate will develop and sustain an independent research agenda. Other expectations include participating in curriculum development and student advising; providing treatment and/or mentorship in pro bono clinics; completing clinical education site visits; assisting with student recruitment and retention efforts; participating in college and department accreditation activities; and providing service to the department, college, community, and the profession. Professional service and active participation in the American Physical Therapy Association are imperative. The successful candidate must work well in a team environment, build inclusive learning communities, and be comfortable working independently. The ideal candidate will also have strong communication, problem-solving, clinical reasoning, organizational, and self-assessment skills. Minimum Qualifications Education & Experience Requirements:
