Location: Remote

Our organization is registered for remote work in the following states: MD, VA, DC, FL, PA, and DE. To be considered for a remote position, relocation is required to one of the registered states if not currently residing in one.

Job Summary:

Performsbilling,follow-up, andcollectionactivitiestosecureappropriatereimbursementforservicesrendered.Investigatesandresolvespayerissues,denials, and accountdiscrepancieswhileensuringaccurateclaimprocessingandtimelypayment. Worksassignedaccountsacrossmultiplepayersandsupportsresolutionofmoderatelycomplexbillingandfollow-upissuesinaccordancewithrevenuecyclepoliciesandprocedures.

Functions:

  • Performs billing and follow-up activities to ensureaccurateandtimelyresolution of assigned accounts.
  • Contacts third-party payers to investigate claim status, resolve denials or rejections, and secureappropriate reimbursementfor servicesrendered.
  • Reviews and analyzes patient accounts toidentifybilling discrepancies, claim errors, payment delays, or denial issues.
  • Supports collection practicesincludingbenefitseligibility verification, authorization review, and payer requirements as needed tofacilitateclaim resolution.
  • Communicateswith patients and payers to explain billing issues, clarify account balances, andassistwith payment resolution.

Qualifications:

  • High SchoolDiploma/GEDorequivalent (Required)
  • 2+yearsofexperienceinaccountsreceivable,patientaccounts,orrevenuecycle management (Required)
  • Good written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Strongattentiontodetailandself-directedtoconsistentlyensuredataintegrityandaccuracy.
  • IntermediateproficiencyandexperienceusingMicrosoft OfficePackage(Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to prioritize a high-volume workload.
  • Ability to identify process issues and recommend improvements.

Salary Range: Minimum $18.87/hour - Maximum $31.15/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
