In the role of Policy Analyst, we'll count on you to: Provide strategic and technical oversight of and or assist with technical reviews and provide guidance related to surface and groundwater modeling, water supply planning, agency coordination, and overall project implementation Experience with Arizona water resources and Colorado River policy Ability to work effectively in complex political and institutional environments and build trusted relationships with senior agency and stakeholder leadership Manage and coordinate multi-discipline teams from separate locations to produce high level, high quality deliverables Guide the planning and execution of complex and multi-disciplinary studies, simulations, and plans for water infrastructure projects Take responsibility for engineering/process design, project coordination, determining and writing engineering specifications, planning work, establishing appropriate design methods, report preparation and coordination, equipment sizing and selection, and working directly with our clients to provide an outstanding delivery experience. Establish new quality standards and value engineering solutions Conduct quality control reviews of deliverables Serve as a technical expert with recognized authority in area of one water systems and water infrastructure Serve as a project manager on water projects as needed Perform technical engineering assignments that may require critical thinking and creativity to address unique elements that have limited or no specific code-based guidance Perform other duties as needed #LI-JM8 Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field A minimum of 10 years experience with water infrastructure and water related facilities or systems Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license. Ability to make independent decisions and be accountable for the results Strong technical background and experience in guiding and formulating one water solutions and managing multi-disciplinary, geographically diverse teams Microsoft Office, digital delivery and design platforms, numerical modeling and simulation platforms, workflow augmentation and quality facilitation platforms Project Engineering and Project Management experience is necessary An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must What We Believe HDR is our company.
