Job Description Johnson County's Department of Planning, Housing, and Community Development is looking for qualified applicants to fill the position of Contractor Liaison for their Housing Services division. This position will work in a team and values-based environment with a commitment to HPO principles, collaborative problem solving, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Duties Include:
Conducts recruitment activities to increase the number of contractors participating in HOME Rehabilitation, Minor Home Rehabilitation, and other home repair programs. Activities include delivering presentations and disseminating information to a variety of audiences based on community need, program priorities, or requests. Prepares and distributes program marketing materials, including Web and social media management. Serves as contact throughout the recruitment process, including technical assistance to join programs, onboarding activities, and troubleshooting.
Job Requirements Minimum Job Requirements Associate's degree in Residential Building Systems, Construction, Engineering, or relevant field. LBP Risk Assessor Certification and NSPIRE Certification within 6 months of hire. Two (2) years of experience with housing construction, trades, building codes or relevant residential remodeling, construction project management or relevant experience. Preferred Requirements Bachelor's degree in Residential Building Systems, Construction, Engineering, or relevant field. One (1) year of experience with residential construction pricing/specification computer software and one (1) year of direct experience with HUD-funded rehabilitation programs. Public speaking and presenting complicated and detailed information. *Experience may be substituted for degree, and education may be substituted for experience. All County employees may be called upon to assist other departments in a declared emergency situation. | |||||||||||||||||
