Senior Health Data Quality Analyst

What you'll do:

  • Work ticket requests in Jira, monitor daily jobs to ensure system is operating efficiently, analyze and execute SQL queries, load large data files into a complex relational database, and assess processes and data to identify practical solutions
  • Create SQL queries based on customer requests to support product operational needs
  • Research data inquiries and work with database developers and DBA for optimization
  • Participate in team meetings reporting status of work in progress and roadblocks from completion
  • Serve as a backup for other team members when needed
  • Support and mentor other team members
  • Create and maintain documentation to support data management activities, including actively maintaining the Data Management Team playbook
  • Create and manage User Stories through Jira to track tasks and projects
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrated proficiency with SQL with preferred experience in MS SQL Server (Redshift or PostgreSQL experience a plus)
  • 3-5 years' experience in data analysis or design of analytical reports
  • Degree in Statistics, Mathematic, Computer Science or related field or equivalent training or experience
  • Experience with data mapping and problem solving
  • Preferred experience with SQL Workbench, PowerShell, or IntelliJ
  • Because of the nature and immediacy of the work, the ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance is essential

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience working with healthcare-related data and an understanding of healthcare business processes and data ecosystems

    • Member eligibility and enrollment data
    • Claims and encounter data
    • Knowledge of healthcare data standards such as HL7 and FHIR
    • Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
    • Knowledge of CMS interoperability and healthcare reporting requirements
    • Understanding of HIPAA compliance requirements
