The University of Virginia seeks applications for an Assistant Director of Assignments. The Assistant Director of Assignments is a full-time, twelve-month position reporting directly to the Director of Assignments within Housing and Residence Life. The Assistant Director works closely with other professionals in the administration and management of a comprehensive residence life and housing program that serves 7000+ residential students. The Assistant Director has the responsibility for leading various housing processes, such as housing applications, assignments, reporting and billing for undergraduate, graduate, faculty and staff on-Grounds housing. The Assistant Director has 2-3 full-time direct reports. Essential Functions:
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates should have strong written and verbal communication skills, with a background in customer service and experience working with office technology (Microsoft suite, Zoom, etc.) and databases. Preferred Qualifications Preference will be given to applicants with at least 4 years of experience in a residential management or student assignments area. Direct experience with StaRez or similar housing software is preferred. Physical Demands Most of the work performed is in an office environment. The work schedule for this position is 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday - Friday. Some non-traditional hours may be required during peak operational periods. The anticipated hiring range is $59,000-$69,000, commensurate with education and experience. This is an exempt-level, benefited position. Learn more about UVA benefits.
