Job Summary Barrett Paving Materials Inc., Internship program is designed to provide a hands-on accounting experience supporting the aggregates and ready-mix industry. Working alongside experienced accounting professionals, the intern will assist with routine accounting activities. Main Responsibilities Assist the accounting team with month end closing Enter, review, and validate information within accounting systems Prepare spreadsheets, reports and supporting documentation Assist with account reconciliations and research discrepancies Work with accounting staff to identify and resolve routine issues Learn how financial information supports operations Skills Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial in Proficiency in Mircrosoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to organize assignments and meet deadlines Ability to maintain confidentiality when working with financial in Education Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field Colas Inc. and its subsidiaries are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
