Job Summary

Barrett Paving Materials Inc., Internship program is designed to provide a hands-on accounting experience supporting the aggregates and ready-mix industry. Working alongside experienced accounting professionals, the intern will assist with routine accounting activities.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assist the accounting team with month end closing
  • Enter, review, and validate information within accounting systems
  • Prepare spreadsheets, reports and supporting documentation
  • Assist with account reconciliations and research discrepancies
  • Work with accounting staff to identify and resolve routine issues
  • Learn how financial information supports operations
Skills
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial in
  • Proficiency in Mircrosoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
