Start Date 09/28/2026 Contract Sheppard Aircraft Maintenance Salary Range $34.33/Hour Posting Date 09/14/2025 Union Yes FLSA Status Non-Exempt Shift Work 2nd FT/PT Full-time Relocation No Travel Possible M1 Support Services' Tow Crew Member performs duties associated with the towing of aircraft to include supervisory, tow vehicle operator, brake rider and wing walker. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: * Will be in command and take a position that will ensure surveillance of the towing procedures and performances of other team members. * Use checklist covering all items pertaining to the safe movement of the type of aircraft being handled. Brief towing personnel prior to aircraft movement and ensures all applicable steps of checklist are completed to ensure safe movement of aircraft. * When tail and wing walkers are not required, nose walker/supervisor may ride in cab of tow vehicle where they can observe the path to be traversed and direct actions to tow vehicle operator and brake rider. * Performs daily maintenance and inspection of T ow vehicles. Maintain tools and equipment with applicable directives. * Tows aircraft as directed. As a tow vehicle operator, performs the duties of tow team supervisor in accordance with the requirement of AETCI 21-101 and other applicable directives. * Maintains the towing sequence chart and completes necessary maintenance documentation. * Conducts radio communications over the maintenance network. * Installs and removes stiff knee on aircraft. * Completes all necessary manual and automated records required by USAF and Company directives. * Complies with the requirements of the FOD prevention, housekeeping, tool control, environmental and safety programs. * Moors and aircraft intake exhaust covers in accordance with applicable directives when required. * Follows technical data, manuals, regulations, and other maintenance directives as required. * Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications and Experience: * A working knowledge of general hand tools, their applications, and the ability to read AF, tech orders, manuals, and regulations. A working knowledge of computer terminal operation is required. * Completion of high school or the equivalent is required. Must be able to read, write, and comprehend technical instructions. * Computer skills are required. Working Conditions: * Environment ranges from office to hangar and flight line and requires extensive climbing, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, and walking demands. * A physical is required for personnel working in fuel cell maintenance. Must be able to enter the * smallest cell opening, must be able to become qualified for and use a respirator.
