Job Summary

The Project Control Lead is a key position at Richard Group. This position is responsible for establishing, operationalizing, and managing project controls functions within construction projects. This role involves planning, monitoring, and controlling various aspects of Richard Group projects to ensure successful completion within budget and on schedule.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders (VP Operations, program manager, project managers) to establish project control objectives and strategies for a portfolio of 30+projects.
  • Develop detailed project control plans outlining scope, schedule, budget, risk management, and quality control measures.
  • Ensure regular and timely reporting of project progress to advise of any conditions that would affect timelines or costs.
  • Work closely with project managers to develop project budgets based on cost estimates and resource requirements.
  • Monitor and control project costs throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Analyze budget variances and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Coordinate with third party schedulers, program managers and project managers to develop and maintain project schedules.
  • Monitor progress against the schedule, identify delays, and propose solutions to maintain project timelines.
  • Conduct schedule risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Audit current document control system and propose improvements as needed.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in a project controls position.
  • Experience in calculating and reporting on earned value management.
  • Proven experience in project controls within the construction industry.
  • Familiarity with P6, project management software and tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team and under tight deadlines.
  • Certification in project management or project controls (e.g., PMP, PMI-SP).
  • Knowledge of construction regulations and industry best practices.

Pay Range:

$160,000.00-$200,000.00

The base salary range for this position as of posting is Richard's good faith estimate of the possible compensation for this role. The range for this role takes into account the factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
